In conjunction with Little League, CDC, and State guidelines, JTLL has developed a local action plan and associated field map specific to our League. Please take a moment to read the Action Plan to help keep our League as safe as possible. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact Graig Arcurie, the Leagues Safety Coordinator and acting COVID-19 Coordinator.
As we moved forward with the 2020 Season, we will be following all Little League, State, and CDC guidelines. Please take a moment to review those guidelines to help us move forward with the season as smoothly and safely as possible.
To All League Families,
After much consideration, the league has decided to move forward with a partial season for all divisions except t-ball. T-ball unfortunately will be cancelled for the 2020 season. The coach pitch, minors, and majors division will play a season through roughly the end of August. We will be following State, Little League, and CDC guidelines to remain as safe as possible.
Players in the t-ball division that have played at least one year are eligible to advance to the coach pitch division for this season. If your child is eligible and interested, please contact the league at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible. For the remaining t-ball players, you will be issued a refund for the 2020 season or you can carry your registration fee over to next year. We understand the disappointment this will create in many but we hope you understand we are trying to keep the players as safe as possible. We look forward to resuming a regular season next spring.
Lackawanna County will be moving to green today. With that, our coach pitch, minors, and majors divisions are able to start practicing. If you haven’t already been in contact with the league, please let us know if you plan to play, would like a refund, or would like your registration forwarded to next season as soon as possible.
If you are registered to play, you will be contacted by a coach within the next few days for additional details.
Stay safe everyone. Sincerely,
Jefferson Township Little League
Based on Little League Baseball and Softball's recommendation issued this evening and for the safety of our participants, Jefferson Township Little League will be postponing the start of our season until at least April 6th. Evaluations, Coaches Clinic, Field Cleanup, Opening Day, and CPR class are postponed as requested by Little League International. In the meantime we will continue to move forward with the pre-season preparations so we are ready to hit the ground running as soon as we received the green light! We will keep all players updated as we receive information. Also note that registration will be closed end of the day 03-14-20.
